There’s been no let up in demand for homes in Maine driving up values for property statewide.
Latest figures from Maine Listings reveal sales were up 14.71% last month compared to June last year. The median sales price was also up 24.5% to stand at $310,000.
Realtors across the state report homes continue to go under contract quickly after receiving multiple offers. Days on market for June was just 6 days compared to 14 a year ago, and 13 days in 2019, pre-COVID.
The market remains competitive for buyers but there is some encouragement with the number of properties available on the rise. Active single-family listings were up 18.5% last month compared to May and up 55% from March the low point for inventory after 9 consecutive months of decline.
